Anna Silk
Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974, in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada, is an actor popular for her portrayal of Bo in The Showcase program Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. She is the daughter of Peter an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed actor, director, educator, playwright and Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna can remember watching her mother while at work, and also attending play rehearsals. Silk made several commercials while she was still a child. In 1997, she received an associate's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in two of the early stage productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk was able to move to Toronto for further development of her acting skills in November 1999. She later, in the decade that followed, she relocated into Los Angeles California. She met her husband, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's workshop at the time in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple was wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. On April 10 2011 they renewed their vows in an Jewish celebration in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk was blessed with a son who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13, 2013. Levi Aaron was her second child born on the 13th of May 2016. Silk's TV appearances include her role as Cassidy Holland in Being Erica in which she was awarded the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009, she was hired as the lead character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant while filming the finale of the third season. She announced the baby's pregnancy to viewers during her Showcase Season Three pre-show special on January 6, 2013. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on Season Four. On the 20th of June 2013 Silk tweeted that she would be returning to the series. Silk's portrayal of Bo as well as Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top Television Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top TV Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to a large online audience via social media.
